Every Opportunity To Grow As Artists
Our school prides itself on its leading and balanced art curriculum, which allows students to experience and excel in the areas in which they are most passionate. Art is seen as an essential part of our curriculum for students of all ages.
Our excellent facilities, serve to support the creative efforts of our children who have access to a wide selection of programmes throughout the year, outside of regular enrichment activities. Our teachers teach classes designed to develop creativity using a variety of media and techniques in arts and crafts. The awareness of colour, shape, balance, focus, and proportion are formed together to convey ideas and feelings.
Students study a wide range of artists, craftsmen, and designers. These studies not only remain in the classroom, because we invite artists every year to conduct workshops in their field.
During art classes, your child will be introduced to basic artistic skills and will be offered every opportunity to grow as young artist. The art curriculum is designed to strengthen a child's knowledge of art, as well as his or her artistic abilities and interests.
Furthermore, throughout the year students are exposed to a wide range of media. Painting, ceramics, photography and more are part of the immersive arts curriculum, where students learn essential skills, as well as freedom of expression and reflection. Each year we bring visiting professionals and resident artists to inspire and guide our students.
Our students explore the Arts through music, dance, and drama from an early age and build confidence as artists. The Arts are an essential part of our curriculum as we recognise the positive impact these areas have on the general well-being and student learning.
Students have ample opportunity to test their skills and develop confidence on stage. These events are largely produced by the students, from the performances, stage assembly, sound and lighting, this is seen as a vital part of their education.
Children's work is exhibited regularly throughout the school, and quality work is present in a variety of school publications to ensure the recognition of talents by other students and parents.
